Travelers Vote The Twin Cities As #1 For Cleanliness
AOL Travel/ Travel + Leisure Magazine's "America's Favorite Cities" Survey Results Revealed In April Issue
Which cities in the U.S.A. do people love the most? According to the third annual America Online and Travel + Leisure Magazine survey of "America's Favorite Cities," travelers love the Twin Cities for its cleanliness. These and other results from the survey will be reported in the April issue of Travel + Leisure magazine.
Travel + Leisure Magazine and the AOL Travel Channel asked nearly 500,000 AOL members their opinions on 25 popular travel destinations. The comprehensive and irreverent "America's Favorite Cities" poll asked for people's opinions on various travel-related topics ranging from nightlife and cultural attractions to friendliness and sexiness.
The survey highlights the following features about Minneapolis/St. Paul:
-- Travelers ranked Minneapolis/St. Paul #1 for cleanliness,
ahead of Honolulu and Portland.
-- When it comes to peace and quiet, the Twin Cities came in at
#3.
-- Unfortunately, Minneapolis/St. Paul didn't score high marks
for nightlife. Travelers named the destination among the last
for barhopping, eating out and as the worst place to ring in
the New Year.
The AOL / T+L "America's Favorite Cities" survey was conducted on AOL's Travel Channel. Results of the survey will be featured in Travel + Leisure magazine's April issue, online at travelandleisure.com/afc and at AOL Keyword: Travel Survey.
