3,600 GE EMPLOYEES AWAIT RESULTS OF TALKS.(Business)

With their contract expiring at midnight today,

3,600 workers at the General Electric Co. in Schenectady are awaiting the outcome of national contract talks this weekend between their leaders and company negotiators.

If all goes according to plan, Local 301 of the International Union of Electronic, Electrical, Salaried Machine and Furniture Workers will have a look at a contract offer next week.
