Sep. 21--ALBANY -- Richard Vallee, a key figure in what some police officials consider the world's most violent Hells Angels chapter, was convicted Thursday of murdering a government witness in Rouses Point 14 years ago.
Vallee, 49, had been a high-ranking member of Montreal's Three Rivers Chapter of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club. He was convicted of two counts of murder by a federal jury in Albany that had heard testimony from 30 witnesses over the past two weeks.
It took years to bring Vallee to trial, in part because he escaped from Canadian authorities in 1997 while awaiting extradition to Albany. Vallee faces life in …
